Building on assignment 2

One thing I love about this subject is that the course work is entwined into the assignment thoroughly. This means you always know that not only the course work will be useful on placement and once a teacher but practical steps to assist in preparing the assignment.

Having a look at fellow students blogs such as Emma’s I decided to focus this blog on updating what I have come up with for assignment two.

I have found the introduction of constructing knowledge and transferring knowledge extremely useful when planning for a lesson and IT MAKES SOOOO MUCH SENSE! Start with constructing some knowledge around a topic using more simple tasks to establish skills and use them during transferring knowledge.

We were asked to pick a learning objective from ACARA for each type of knowledge so far this is what I’ve decided.

Constructing knowledge:

Understand that different types of texts have identifiable text structures and language features that help the text serve its purpose (ACELA1463)

Transferring knowledge:

Create short imaginative, informative and persuasive texts using growing knowledge of text structures and language features for familiar and some less familiar audiences, selecting print and multimodal elements appropriate to the audience and purpose (ACELY1671)
